Mission Beach is the most popular place in Australia for skydiving - the appeal being good weather, great views on the way down, and landing on the beautiful Mission Beach or Bingle Bay Beach. You are prepared and picked up at Mission Beach village, and taken to Tully airport for the flight.
For non skydivers, it is wonderful to watch the beach landings. If the wind is from the North, the skydivers land on Naragon beach right in front of Sealords.
White Water Rafting
The mightly Tully River, nearby to Mission Beach, is now world famous for white water rafting; the 2019 world championships are being held there. You are picked up at Mission Beach village and returned when the rafting is complete.
Hot air balloning can also be done on the tablelands west of Cairns.
