After reviewing all the attractions available, you will probably find that it is hard to decide which of the many activities to do during your limited time at Mission Beach. Snorkel or Scuba Dive and experience the breathtaking beauty of the world’s largest coral reef system in its’ most natural state on the outer reef or on the inner islands.

Pack a picnic and spend a day discovering the natural beauty of Dunk Island, accessed by a 10 minute water taxi ride from the beach, or hire a small boat and cruise around the islands for half a day or a day.
- Discover the Wet Tropics Rainforest.
Lose yourself in the tranquillity of the World Heritage listed Wet Tropics Rainforest that surrounds Mission Beach and if you’re lucky, catch a glimpse of a magnificent endangered Cassowary on the many high quality walking trails. Walk in the canopy at Mamu Skywalk. Have a swim to cool off in one of the many waterfalls and streams in the area including Australia highest. Be astounded by the beauty of the large Ulysses & Cairns Butterflies floating past.

Visit the Tully Sugar Mill and watch cane from the vast fields turn into sugar crystals. Visit the only regional chocolate plantation that grows beans and makes chocolate on site to global award winning standards, or the organic dairy farms of Atherton tablelands.

Visit Paranella Park, a ruined Castle set in landscaped tropical gardens, built in the early 1900’s by an ambitious Spanish immigrant. Walk around Innisfail and admire the Art Deco buildings.
- Relax.
Read a book by the pool, have a cocktail overlooking the ocean, have a swim in the sea, take a walk along the beach or jetty at sunrise or sunset to see the spectacular colours.
- Indulge.
Enjoy a day spa, or have a meal in a choice of excellent cafes or restaurants along or near the beach. Try quality local meats, sea food, fruits and other produce in local specialty shops.
- Challenge yourself to get extreme.
Raise your heart rate with an unforgettable experience.. skydiving and landing on the beach or white water rafting.
