José Paronella’s dream was to build a castle; he created Paronella Park. Situated on 5 Hectares beside Mena Creek Falls, he built his castle, picnic area by the falls, tennis courts, bridges, a tunnel, and gardens with in an amazing range of 7,500 tropical plants and trees. It opened to the public in 1935. Every 30 minutes a tour of 45 minutes is provided by a guide providing fascinating information about this extrodinary and beautiful place. Other special tours are available.
